My practice is primarily in drawing and printmaking, as well
as interactive forms such as artists’ books. More recent work includes zines and graphic narratives
incorporating text and images. Most of my work is grounded in drawing from
observation.
Whatever the material, the joy is in the process, in curiosity
and surprise – discovering where each piece will go (which is often not where I
initially intended).
My professional career over several decades has been as a researcher /
scientist. I have had an active art practice for several
years.
I’ve gotten pretty good at setting up space anywhere to make art - with traveling kit always ready to go. But when I am at home, my studio space is in a small red barn just down the hill.
