My practice is primarily in drawing and printmaking, as well as interactive forms such as artists’ books. More recent work includes zines and graphic narratives incorporating text and images. Most of my work is grounded in drawing from observation.
Whatever the material, the joy is in the process, in curiosity and surprise – discovering where each piece will go.
My professional career over several decades has been as a researcher / scientist. I have had an active art practice for several years.
I am grateful to amazing tutors at Bridge House Art (the extraordinary Eleanor White & Kittie Jones) and at the Royal Drawing School’s online programme.
I’ve learned to set up space anywhere to make art - with traveling kit ready to go. But when I am at home, my studio space is in a small red barn just down the hill.
